Need Kasikorn Bank - Sukumvit 33 Bangkapi - Sort Code

Featured Replies

Hey peeps,

I'm trying to send myself some money to my new Kasikorn Bank account Sukhumvit 33 Bangkapi Branch from from the US.

I have been to my bank to ask if they have a Sort Code and no one seems to know what I'm talking about. I know this is more common with UK banks etc, but I am finding it impossible to send this money without it, as I am sending from an online account.

I have the Swift Code: KASITHBK

When I add that swift code it recognizes it as Kasikorn Bank and give me a list of about 20 Branches to choose from, so I chose KASITHBKSUK

It then asks for Account No: ??????????????

And then Branch Name or Sort Code: I have tried what the Kasikorn Bank Manager suggested which was KASITH, also KASITHBK but it says Invalid Sort Code, and also explains that the code should be 6 digits (same as UK bank accounts).

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to get this money sent over.

Regards,

Ashley

In my experience there are no 'sort' or 'routing' codes in Banks in Thailand.

From what I understand the sort code is normally a code used by the bank to identify the branch so as long as you have the account number it's not really needed.

I usually specify the branch address on the 'additional information' part of the transfer form which they fill out when I phone them.

I've never had a problem sending a wire / swift transfer.

Hi

The problem will lie with the internet system you are using and you will probably have to call your bank. I get regular transfers from the UK from my clients directly into my Kasicorn Bank account. Some are made online some by phone and some buy a visit to the senders bank. Use the switcode KASITHBK which is for the head office, plus the bank account number which contains routing information similar to a sort code and give the branch address in full. Payments I get from the UK take one to four days to arrive depending on the priority attached to the payment and the method used. This varies according to the senders bank. Payments arrive at the Kasicorn Headoffice twice each working day at 9.00am and 3.00pm and are then allocated to the recipients account. So typically you will have the payment by 10.00 am if not then by 4.00 pm. Hope this helps...
