Hi all,

Sorry if this has been discussed many times but i want to make a quick check.

I have a one year multi entry non imm o visa issued in hull (uk). I only arrived 2 weeks ago and this is the first time i have used this type of visa. My current stamp allows me to stay until the 03 November.

Am i right in saying that all i need to do is literally go out of the country and come back in again and they will give me a new stamp for another 90 days ???

I have seen some opinions and posts suggesting fees, paying more money, reporting and how much money you can show in a thai bank account. I do not have a thai bank and only use my UK account.

Just looking for someone to clarfiy exactly what i should do before the 02nd november to get another 90 days.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Yes, just leave the country entry another country and return to Thailand and you will get another 90 days.

Every time you enter Thailand while the visa is valid you will get a new 90 days. So if you leave the country and return just before the visa expires you will get a new 90 days and can get almost 15 months out of it.

If you tell us the reason for you non-O (marriage to a Thai, retirement, etc) we can tell you what the requirements are to get a 1 year extension of stay from immigration.

You don't have to worry about money in the bank account etc. That ony comes into play when you go to immigration in Thailand and ask for an extension of stay for 1 year, and every year afterwards.

Then you don't have to leave the country every 90 days, but you would need to show an income of 40,000 baht a month (which can be from abroad) OR show a bankaccount in your name in Thailand with 400,000 baht in it.

As said, just leave turn round and come back again. Can be stretched out to almost 15 months.

If you want to apply for a 12 month extension from Immigration meaning that you do not have to leave.

You need 400,000 Baht in a Thai bank 2 months before applying or 40,000 Baht monthly income. Plus a few other documents.

With a visa, like you have, it doesn't matter.

Either, do be aware that at a land crossing you MUST enter the other country, just leaving Thailand into no-mans-land and then returning won't do (they check for the other country's exit stamp).

Obviously by air you actually have to go somewhere and return.
