Hi,

First, apologies as I know this has been asked a million times but I can't seem to access the recent posts on the subject.

UK passport holder currently in Thailand on the 30 day visa exemption (due to expire next week). Only just found out the new 15 day border crossing rule which has thrown me a bit.

I'm hoping to stay 3 more months. Can anyone advise best way? Penang still?

Also, is the cost of an adult applicable to an infant?

Thanks for your help!

Vientienne Laos will issue a Double Entry Tourist Visa if you need it, or just get a single. Up to you.

Tourist Visa's are free at the moment so no charge for Adults or Kids.

Children are not fined or deported for overstay so you can even not worry about the kids if you just want to travel alone.

Penang is not a good choice if you have gotten visas from them before and gotten an extension. They have been turning down applications for that reason.

KL and Vientiane are both good locations.

Hi thanks for your replies.

I haven't had extension from Penang before, so either there or KL would be easier for me as I will need to take baby with me. Would they issue for 90 days? Or would it be 60? If so, would I then be able to get 30 day extension from immigration or would I have to do a border crossing?

Cheers,

Haley

A tourist visa is for 60 days, you can extend it in Thailand at immigration for 1,900 baht and a photo.
