Exactamundo ....... In a year these orgys bring tens of millions of baht in to the island's economy. NO WAY are they going to be stopped.

The Office of the Narcotics Control Board's Division 8, responsible for the upper South, has implemented a joint operation with residents and tour businesses to prevent the use of illicit drugs at the beachside party.

Too much money involved for relative new comer farangs to disrupt this cash cow.

Some even get shot or clubbed etc for saying this stuff too loud.

Phangan is a nice place except for once a month.

If they didn't realize this was ongoing when the bought their place, they were rather foolish.

and more foolish to go against the mafias involved in this decades old profit center.

This ofcourse will coincide with Samui taxis turning on their meters......
