How do the authorities view this? Do you think in these bad economic times they might see the benefits of such a thing or do you think it takes the boom times and big sales for them to make changes to the condo ownership laws?

I believe that the last time the Thai authorities allowed 100% farang ownership of condos in selected areas was during the 1997 crash. Boom times do not motivate the authorities to take such drastic action.

When they did it previously it was only to help out developers of new condos that were not getting the Thai quota filled.
