Royfest- How Was It?

Featured Replies

It was really really good. Very professional stage, sound and light set-up. The stage is huge. This appeared to be a well thought out and planned event. I felt a bit sorry for residents of the Movenpick hotel as it is literally right opposite them. A few folks were dancing on their balconies though.

A huge turnout of mainly Thai people attended Friday night's party which is a good sign. Quite how many would turn up if it wasnt free remains yet to be seen.

A great event and deserved pats on the back for the organisers.

I went about 830 and it was fine. Mellow with good bands playing, Tbone and some other band with a great female singer.

Not Techno crap. There were lot's of people and families and plastic to sit down on so you didnt sit directly in sand.

Drove by again last night just after midnight (So around 1230am Sunday.) And it was packed. Took 20 minutes to get past on the one-way road. Lots of drunk people stumbling about, and thumping Techno music.

Great on Sat night too. Loved the yammy bikes

..... Loved the yammy bikes

Elaborate. What's yammy bikes?

Yamaha had a stand with a pre 1980 VW bus and some really cool bikes on the beach. Finos for mud, Finos for snow, sportsbikes etc.

IC, that would be interesting.

It was very good. The music was excellent, everyone was having a good time. A free bbq too - even the beer wasn't expensive.

Thumbs up to the organisers, more of this please.
