Air Quality - Rayong

Featured Replies

Can someone comment on the air quality near Ban Phe? Does pollution from Maptaphut affect that area? I'm thinking of the condos there.

Thanks.

I've just moved into Ban Phe. I visited a few times over the past few years, and experienced no problem with pollution fro Map Ta Phut.

And thus far, I've noticed no problem in Ban Phe, or my place, just a few kilometres east along the beach. I know there are condos on both the east and west coasts from the town of Ban Phe, and I've heard of no problems with pollution. Now, exhaust fumes from the bloody songtaews, that's a different matter! Almost suffocated getting into and from Rayong yesterday! Thank god I'll have my motorbike in a couple of days.

I have experienced no problem in Ban Phe, but only been there approx 5-6 times.

I have experienced no problem on Maerampheung, of which I know a little better.

JusMe & Mossfin, thanks for the info. As soon as the rainy season is over I plan on going over and poking around. :)
