:D

The aspargus may be skinnier and a bit more fibrous because of the soil it was grown in and the drought probably did not help. I've bought some fat ones at Tesco a while ago.

I've stocked up with 4 kilos of yellow split peas last week so I could cook up my famous pea soup.

The end result was horrible :D . They look like what I bought back in Canada but the taste is awful.

The soi dogs loved it :D

I asked a professor [of plant technology] at Maejo University that very question and his answer was that the best [largest] is exported. Thailand is a major exporter of asparagus to Japan and who knows where else.
