Diabetes Type 1 Help!1

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

My friend is suffering from Diabetes type 1 and is wondering what icecream or drinks in Bangkok are sugar-free and are proven sugar free for diabetics like her? Can anyone please help? It's certainly necessary as her blood sugar has risen. She managed to buy one "so called" sugar free ice cream and it has boosted her blood sugar levels to 200 .. Please advice!!

Thank you very much!!

I am not sure that there are any. I find that even fruit juices labelled "sugar free" obviously aren't. I think they do not count corn syrup as sugar, which of course it is.

I have had some berry sorbets advertised as "sugar free" at various stalls, going by taste I think some really were and some were not.

best advice I can offer is to avoid all of them and if she really has a cravibg for ice cream or sorbet to make her own. Sorbet making is quite easy, just need a blender. Proper ice cream more difficult.
