phuketsub
I need a safe place to teach my unconfident wife to drive my standard-gear, aging Suzuki SJ314 Caribbean Jeep. It's a beast of a drive and I can't think of anywhere safe to get her started. I need something like a quiet, half-finished residential project, the closer to Phuket Town the better. All advice much appreciated
Valentine
There used to be a fairly large open spot at Saphan Hin, I think if you turn left at the small lake it will then appear on the right side. Also used to be one in Kathu on a large open plot of land as I would often see the driving school companies operating in there with posts set up to practice tight manouvres. It is near the intersection (if coming from Lotus go through the lights & is on the left side) between Lotus & Caltex but there are now many businesses lining the road frontage so not sure if there is any access now although on the other side of the road there is also a large open space with filled land. Somtamnication
Behind Bic C, that parking lot is always empty. I teach my wife there.
madmitch
I thouhgt this was going to be about golf and was about to recommend the Phunaka Driving Range. I still will as others may look at the thread title and think the same.
