Can I Get A Tourist Visa In Hanoi ?

Featured Replies

I am contemplating going to Hanoi tomorrow to apply for a tourist Visa as that seems to be the cheapest air ticket with Air Asia.

If I go to KL I'm looking at Baht8-9K .... so I am thinking Hanoi maybe the go.

I could also just do a border run & then fly in a couple of weeks to KL as it will be less cost ?

Is the Hanoi a good idea ?

What else do you suggest ? Kota Buhru sounds ok but there are no direct flights there from BKK.

Any advise appreciated ...

cheers, :)

if you are not from the ASEAN countries, you will have to pay for your Vietnam visa (about $65 single entry), then you have to

cab yourself from NoiBai Intl airport to downtown which would run you at least $12-15, wait around at the Thai Embassy for

your visa, if lucky you can get it back within the day - but if not, you will need to find some lodging in the city.

If you want to check out Hanoi while there, I really recommend the city and food - there are also many beautiful women there.

-did you check out other nearby countries; i.e. Suvannakhet Lao, Vientiane Lao which has a Thai Embassy?

Make sure you have US Dollars for your visa in Hanoi and Hanoi is a great place to spend 2 or 3 days, a visit to Uncle Ho is a must do....surreal
