bkkjames Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hi there: With the little one starting to crawl around I want to find a floor cleaner that is non-toxic for use on ceramic tiles. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks James
kannon99 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I've been using white vinegar for years here. Make sure it's not the artificial ones. About 1/4 cup of white vinegar to a bucket of water.

needforspeed Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Dear Sir, You can use normal floorcleaners as Ajax or good maid even as other desinfective floor cleaners the only thing with children you need before the floor is drying to clean one more time with plain warm water, as vinigar is cleaning well but doesnt desinfect perfect. Good luck with your children friendly floor

sinbin Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 'Detol' in fact clean everything with it, even to go as far and put a little in your laundary wash.

needforspeed Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 'Detol' in fact clean everything with it, even to go as far and put a little in your laundary wash. Still need to clean after with plain water as "Dettol" contains Chloroxylenol.
sinbin Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Still need to clean after with plain water as "Dettol" contains Chloroxylenol. "Chloroxylenol, is not significantly toxic to humans". But as a caution, do what 'needforspeed' suggests, if in doubt.
pedro01 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Villa Supermarket do a range of cleaners that are not full of poison - I use the stainless cleaner they sell - it works well.
DagonKhan Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I wouldn't use Dettol. If they're ceramic tiles just use dish washing liquid, add a few squirts into a bucket of water.
