I got the True Landing page, and I'm using the same router for the past 6 years - no, I didn't get it from True. The last time it occurred, I reset the router, shutdown and restarted my computer...and the problem was still there. I called True and, in the middle of my conversation with the technician, the problem resolved itself. Ghost in the machine, perhaps.

*bump*

Is there a fix for this? Took over a business with a True modem (but using TOT) + Linksys WIFI setup, and apparently the previous owners were putting up with getting the True Landing screen coming up randomly. It's in the modem firmware as mentioned above (as we aren't even using True at that location... it's TOT 6MB ADSL service), and no, it's not in the 'advanced' settings of these particular "NLink" True Online modems.

Anyone?

That landing page is easily one of the most annoying service flaws I've ever encountered.

I called their support. Apparently the Zyxel 1 Port router that I have is v1 and does not have the option to turn off landing page in router settings. So they promised to send a technician tomorrow to upgrade firmware so that then I can turn off the god d.amn thing.

On a side note, the polite and helpful customer service operator asked me also to give them my email address. Why, I asked. Well, just to complete your customer profile in our system, she said. Yeah, and then dump a truckload of advertising into my inbox, as if years of enduring that dreadful landing page were not enough. No thanks.

Try Mailinator. Worked for me!
