Could anyone recommend a 600-700THB private bath, clean, fan room in the old city? Does it exist?

For that price, you will get a TV with English channels and a fridge. You can get what you want for around 250 or so.

Somebody recommended The Garden Chiang Mai, I checked out their website and will probably check them out when we are in town at Xmas with a iew to using them in the future, good location and price.

Lots of places for 300 ~ 400 Kavil for example but this time of year most of the cheap places are full, Lai Thai on the moat is about 700 I believe, good luck.
