Saw it yesterday (at Paragon of course!)

Thought it was pretty good and a good start to what will be no doubt be a series

I'm expecting the sequel (with "you-know-who") as the main villain to be much better now that Holmes's and Watson's characters have been established

Robert Downy was ok as holmes but don't go in expecting a Johnny Depp "Captain Jack Sparrow" performance

Basil Rathbone's Holmes is still the best however (used to love those movies as a kid and have been searching online for the best ones)

Avatar still my favourite film of the year miles

There have been more English-language movies about Sherlock Holmes than any other character, now at 75 major releases and counting.  I am nto sure what it is about him that has captured the public's attention to that degree.
