My visa was issued 27/1/2009 with the stipulation it be used before 26/1/2010.

I've used it half a dozen times to enter the Kingdom since then and my next entry will be 24th Jan this year not leaving until 23rd April.

Should I renew it before I leave or will it still cover me for that period in Thailand?

Entering the Kingdom on 24th Jan (before your visa expires) will give you new 90 day permission to stay taking you through to 23rd Apr (which is when you plan to depart).

Your entry on the 24th will provide a new 90 day stay - you can do the count - day 24 will be day one of the 90 days.
