I am currently on a Non-O visa that was extended on the basis of marriage to a Thai.

I no longer have a work permit, I do not have 400k in the bank and my extension expires next month and so I was assuming that I have to do a visa run.

So my wife calls immigration for me to see what my options are, she called immigration in Pattaya because they tend to be more helpful.

They informed her that if I go to Poi-Pet, then I will get another 60 day extension which itself can be extended for another 30 days in Bangkok.

Is this right?, I do hope so.

No it is not right but almost. You can exit country and return for 15 days on a visa exempt stamp and then visit immigration with wife and proof of marriage to submit a TM.7 extension of stay application to visit wife and obtain a 60 day extension of stay one time.

Or you can visit a Consulate to obtain a tourist visa for a 60 day stay which can be extended for 30 days.

Or you can visit a Consulate to obtain a non immigrant O single entry visa for a 90 day stay one return. Using marriage proof as below.

Or you can visa a Consulate such as KL with proof of about 100k in a Thai bank account and marriage proof/wife ID to obtain a multi entry non immigrant O visa for one year of up to 90 day stays.

The first option 60 day extension to visit wife is also available for the tourist visa or single entry non immigrant O visa.

My post was edited to include what would be required - at a Consulate for non immigrant visa it would be marriage certificate/copy of her ID card and perhaps copy of her home register. Always good to have short note asking you be issed the visa also.

For 60 day extension both go to immigration with id/passport/marriage certificate.
