Roadworthiness Test Centre In Kamala?

Featured Replies

I have a motorbike with a sidecar that is more than 5 years old. In previous years I've had to take the sidecar off and get the bike's roadworthiness certificate test done in Patong, then put the sidecar back on again.

Does anyone know if there's one of these test centres in Kamala? Or if there is a test centre anywhere in Phuket that will bend the rules and pass the bike with the sidecar still on?

thanks!

Any place that shows the sign for vehicle checks can do it for you. The signs looks like a cogged wheel not at all dissimilar to the sign for the Rotary Club.

Removing the sidecar is a good idea too.

Hope this helps you

Phuket Town:

At the T-junction where you turn right for the driving test centre, and left to go to town. Turn left.

About 50-100 m on left is a car and bike test centre.

Who do quite strict tests (rolling road for brake independence etc) and gave me a hard time that one of the bikes rear brake light sensors didnt operate (one did, the light worked, the other didnt)..

I doubt they are going to pass a samlor.

I never take the sidecar of, and it is approved year afer year in either rawai or kata.
