Birds Eye Custard

Featured Replies

well, anyone know where this precious, precious delight can be found, just finished my last packet.

I get mine brought over from the Uk by which ever friend or family is coming over, if you can't get any and can wait a month I'll tell him to bring more than usual and pass some across.

I don't know about the instant-custard, but Rimping Mee Chok had cartons of regular Bird's Custard Powder, last month. :)

seems i'm not the only one who enjoys a spot of the sweet stuff, cheers guys

hi

it is SO easy to make from scratch!

Corn flour (starch) about a tablespoon

Sugar

Yellow food colouring

Vanilla flavouring

Milk

Mix all together in a pan and stir till thickened to required consistency.

If you like it lumpy, them boil the milk and add the flour while it's boiling

Birds Custard is readily available in Rimping. The Bird's Eye - named after Clarence Birdseye who invented the process - range of frozen foods is not. :)
