Thai Id Renewal

Me ( 47yrs of age) and my Thai wife (45yrs of age) married for 24 yrs n staying

in Malaysia which her Thai passport goin' to expire July,2010(5 mths left)

Her Thai ID expired 10 years ago. She is a Permanent Resident here. So we intend to

go back Haadyai(nearest possible) or any province to renew her Thai ID first b4 allow to

renew her Thai passport at Thai Embassy in M'sia. She was borned in Pharn,ChiangRai.(To my knowledge now,

she was not allow to renew her ID in any Thai province except her place of birth cuz' that period ID department not

computerised yet.

My further questions is :

1. Does she allow to renew her Thai ID at Haadyai or any province in Thailand ?Prepare to pay the fine !!

2. Does she need to go back to Chiangrai (place of birth)to renew?How long is the process ?

3. After Thai renewed , do you think Malaysia Immigration will allow her to enter Malaysia with Thai

passport remain 4 mths validation?. We intend to renew at Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

I will appreciate all responses and replies cuz i believe it will definite reduces my hassle and further

problems........
