With regard to the so called "Marriage Visa" money requirements. I understand it to be 40,000 Baht/month or 400,000 in a Thai bank for 3 months prior to application. I just checked on this site and it says '(identifier position and salary)'. Can someone put that in layman's terms? Also, is it either 40,000/month or 400,000 in the bank, or can I mix and match eg if I have 30,000/month and 200,000 in the bank will that work?

It's

40,000 Baht/month or 400,000 in a Thai bank for 3 months prior to application

Sorry, a mix is not possible.

It is either 40K income OR 400K deposit in YOUR name only!

Combination of pension/deposit is only possible for retirement extemsions.

If you use income from whithin Thailand you need tax receipts and may be asked for WP, if income from abroad you'll need a letter from your embassy to confirm it.

If it is your first time you apply for extension based on marriage and you use the deposit, the money has to be seasoned for only two months. For subsequent applications the time is three months.

As said 40,000 Baht monthly income OR 400,000 in the bank.

The rule is for 2 months. Some offices want it there for 3 months apart from the first application.
