Featured Replies

I'm looking for a hammock does anybody have any idea were you can buy a hammock in Chiang Mai

Probably get cheap one in China town

or in baan tawai or baan bo sang for more luxurious ones.

Best i have seen are in Pai.. but bloody expensive. Wonderful though.

google: Mlabri Hammock

They were selling some in The Saturday & Sunday market in front of Prince Royal College.

Check there And if you get thirsty stop by, I can show you the ones we got there.

How on earth did you manage to get from BKK to CM ?You would have to be walking around CM with your eyes tightly shut to not see a hundred places to buy a hammock. What next Where to get Thai food ? :)

these are the ones gonzos talking about at the weekend market

There's a setup called Jumbohammock. Google them and see if they have a shop in Chiang Mai. If not, they can ship it to you as well.

There's a guy selling hammocks at the side of the canal road. He sets up on the left as you go south out of the city, just before you get to the Best Western which is on the other side of course.

We got one of these hammocks around two years ago from a fair, and It's awesome, the guys told as at the time it would last for years, off course I thought it would last five minutes outside, but it's still hanging in our garden, through sun and rain it's still perfect. The kids play on it everday! I may by another one!
