March 3, 201016 yr The Alternative rock band Placebo will play a one off gig in Bangkok on Saturday 20th March 2010. The concert will be held in the large car pack area behind the Esplanade shopping centre on Ratchadepisek Road (MRT Thai Cultural Centre). They will appear as the headlining act in the Tiger Translate Festival, also playing are Thai bands Modern Dog, Flure, Paradox, Abuse the youth, and many more. March 18, 201015 yr Author Wonder what time they'll be on? I believe things kick off at 5pm, there are a few Thai bands on the bill who play first, obviously Placebo are heading and on last, I'd imagine at about 10.30pm till midnight(ish). Another little write up on the event here

The news says it is all blocked near Asoke, Rama III, and Rachadpisek, so please, if anyone gets more up-to-date info, post it. I would love to go, but not if I have to fight my way through a bunch of redshirts.
March 20, 201015 yr must admit i am feeling put off with all the red shirts hassle for getting there. I know soi 71 is closed just now cos of them and traffic backing up all along sukhumvit. Luckily I came along 77 from chachoengsao after a run on the bike.

Bonobo, I took the expressway from Rama 3 and got there in around 15 mins. It was a good night but Placebo were average TBH, though 'song to say goodbye' rocked.
