Hi All,

After reading around 50 threads on here asking roughly the same question I still remain confused as to when and whether or not I can extend my Visa in Thailand.

My Visa is a Multiple Entry Non Imm O Visa. The visa was issued at Hull, UK, very easily and no real questions. Being as I am only aged 26, I guess it was on the basis of 'visiting friends'. The issue date was 9th of June 09 and utilized before date is 9th June '10.

My first question is does this mean that on the 9th of june this year, I can cross the border once again re entering the country and gain a further 3 months stay, effectingly giving me nearly 15 months stay on a visa valid for 12 months?

My second question is what are the true requirements for extending this visa without a trip to the UK.

Any help much appreciated as I am rather confused at the mo!

Thanks in advance,

Gareth

if you do a border bounce before the visa is up you will get another 3 months so yes it will mean 15 months, the chances of you geting another non 0 anywhere near hear laso , malaysia etc are slim and at best you can get a 3 month non o if oyu are lucky, but you can get tourist visas no problem from malaysia or laos and it not necesarry to go al the way back to uk for a visa

Last date to use is 8 June.

No you can not extend or obtain a new such visa in the area closer than Perth without more reason than visiting someone - and there would would require copy of ID card of person you plan to visit in Perth.

As said , do a border run just before it expires for another 90 days.

The nearest consulate to get another Non Imm O Multi would probably be Perth Australia.

Even there you would need a letter from a Thai friend asking for the Visa to be issued. Also a copy of there ID Card.

Failing that Tourist Visas from neighbouring countries.

I been here for 15 months now, before my o visa I was on tourist visas. I have a monthly income from the UK and a house and girlfriend here and would really rather avoid a trip to the UK. Is there no way of extending even if it means a change in the purpose of my o visa?

thanks in advance.

Only if you married your girlfriend. Or went to a Thai Language School. Or got a job. Or invested 10 Million Baht. etc.

You do not qualify at the moment.
