State Of Golf In Phuket

Featured Replies

I see that Laguna has a new promotion where you can golf for a year for 65K or 95K. I looked at a couple of course websites but didn't really see any promotions, nor did I see any memberships available for sale ( Loch Palm, PCC). Does anyone know what the prices for memberships have been lately in the 2nd hand market, and are there any courses which directly sell memberships?

Look at the classifieds in back of Phuket Gazette,; they have occasional listings of such. You may also place a wanted ad there as well as in their online edition.

I can't afford golf on Phuket although I have heard that the new course near Wat Chalong is fairly reasonable comparably.

I'm looking forward to our annual Issan trip in April and the beautiful course I found up there in which green fees are 100 baht!

Great course too. (caddies are an additional 50 baht per 9 holes and they are mandatory)

Only problem with that is the memberships are so thinly traded, you can't get an idea of the actual value/price as anyone selling throws a number out and sees if anyone bites.

In regards to fiddlehead's query, have a look at the phunaka golf site and I believe the rate for 9 holes is slightly higher than the Isaan rate ( by only 850 baht per 9 holes).

Saw a membership listed last week for loch palm (I think), It was 625000bt.

You would need to play a lot of golf to get your moneys worth.

hey what is the name of the course you play at and where in Isaan ???

cheers

Blue Canyon are still selling memberships I believe. Around about a million baht for a family membership. There are other membership options such as corporate and a couple of others that I don't remember.
