Give a try with Siam Commercial.

When I was living on the island, I did my Euro transactions with them, but the account was previously opened in Bangkok.

bank of ayduya is the best for quick transactions from over seas because they are a western union agent. if someone pas me in the uk sometimes i receive the same day. if nt then the next day. other banks i have had to wait more than 1 week a times.

It's easier to keep you cash under the bed! Just about the same interest rate as the banks offer! :)

make sure some strang lady doesnot start getting busy and cleaning up or they might clean your cash out

I had the impression that on beach road they aren't very "responsive" Nathon Branch is way more efficient and willing!

Wanted to activate VISA on my B1st Card for an overseas trip, been told to call the help center and do it over the internet!

Krung ThaI in Samui open accounts i Us $ and Euro. Very low interests, 1% commission on the deposits (!) and some commission on the withdrawals too.

So I'll put my euro down my mattress.
