Hi, I have friends visiting soon, can anyone suggest cheap but decent/clean hotel 300-500b range anywhere on Sukhumvit-including, Prakanong, Onnuch, Bangjak?

Try the Happy Inn. It's located on Sukhumvit Soi 4 on a small sub-soi about 200 M from Sukhumvit on the left. Here is their number: 02 252-6508. When I checked, about a year ago, their price was B500 for a A/C room with private bath.

In a similar post, I just recommended checking out both the LILLA HOTEL and the D67 HOTEL, just yards from each other on Sukhumvit (odd side) between Ekkamai and Phra Khanong, just past soi 67. Both are quite new and good value: about B800 a night. That's about as cheap as you will find in the Sukhumvit area.
