Pardon me for injecting something that is not football related into this forum section - it appears that they need to rename the section as "Footie Section."

But - maybe a few folks straggle by with other entertainment ideas in minds.

'Took the Thai wife and kids to BEC-Tero Hall last night, to see the "Five Elements" show put on by the visiting Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe. It was a very good show - and they still have daily performances at BEC-Tero for another week or so - they they start a tour of other cities in Thailand.

The performance runs two hours, with 15 minute intermission. "Five Elements" = Earth, Wood, Water, Fire, Metal. Different costumes and themes for each set of performances. A little bit of everthing - tumbling, trapeeze, juggling, trampoline, hula hoops, spinning spools, and a few acts that defy simple explanation. Allin-all, a very good show.

Tickets available from Ticketmaster Outlets - ranging from 300 to 700 baht. BEC-Tero hall is at Suan Lum Night Market - the MRTA Subway station at Lumpini is right there, at the entrance to the Night Market area.

The Hall itself - well, I suggest paying 700 baht for Section A seating - otherwise, you end up in "Peanut Heaven". Don't get too close to the stage, unless you like really LOUD speakers blaring in your ears. Seating is simply rows of folding chairs placed onto the floor.

Cheers!

Sounds interesting ... just might take the lady one day this week.

Yes, we went last night.

The place was packed solid and the show was very entertaining.

Looks like it is so popular, it is being held over for another run

from 6/13 to 7/3 after the 5/31 final show.

Here are the details .....
