Hi,

Thanks for your help.

Can a non-immigrant be ectended at a local immigration office after it has been used up?

Can it be extended for 30 days or would I have to leave the country and re-enter by air to get another 30 days?

If it can be extended...how much does it cost?

No, a non immigrant visa cannot be extended. You will indeed have to leave the country if you need another 30 days.

As you correctly state, you will need to do this by air, as if you re-enter over a land border you would only receive 15 days (which practically are only 14 days as the day you enter is regarded as day 1).

Is the 60 day extension for non-O wife or child available at all immigration offices? It only used to be 30 days.Thnx

Availeble at all immigration offices. You have to use the one of your area. Take wife, marriage certificate and household book with you.

You do not have to have a non-O visa to get the 60 day child or wife extension. Tourist visa or even 30 day visa exempt stamp holders can also get that 60 day extension if they qualify!
