My wife has got a gold watch bought in the UK that needs its gold strap repaired

In Chiang Mai I havent found a shop that will do it

Anybody have suggestions In Bangkok

is the strap broken ? and is it solid gold or plated ?if it is plated and damaged or broken odds are it cannot be repaired as new, you cannot solder or heat plated metals, maybe easier to replace the strap for now and keep the original until you can get it rectified in a better environment

Probably have to agree.

Apart from the place on Thapae Road west of Bkk Bank the rest are a bunch of amatuers. (and they probably don't do gold straps)

If I had a valuable watch and wanted it repaired in Thailand I wouldn't let it out of my sight. Nice Omega in for a strap repair and a Chanklan Road night bazaar Omega when you go back.
