Thai Passport - How To Get If In Koh Samui

Hi

I was wondering if any could help me - I have a friend who is a Thai National living in Koh Samui.

Her Thai passport expired last year so she needs to renew as she wants to come visit me in Australia.

I have been researching on the internet how she goes about getting it renewed - it seems that she has to travel to Bangkok or the mainland to renew - which will be very difficult for her due to work commitments.

I have heard there are mobile passport offices but not sure if they go to Samui.

She hopes to come to Australia in July for 2 weeks.

Anyone know the best way for her to renew her passport?

As far I know the nearest office which issue passports in Suratthani - not a long distance from Samui

Surat office Near the Wang Tai hotel. Number is 077 274942-3 (from 2008)

must apply herself(picture),someone else can pick it up(or maybe send back to samui?not sure)

Apply in person, but they can send it to the home adress by EMS for 30 (or is it 35) baht. Only takes a few days to recieve it.
