Folks!

Please let me know your current experiences with the 15-days-visa-waiver - especially at MAESAI-border.

As far as i know the amout of these stamps was once (?) limitet to four but rumours say one can get more of these now (...in fact it's a pain in the axx to cross border every 15 days...but then there are lots of cheap and actual DVD's).

How's the current situation?

Thanks!

There is no limit on the number of visa exempt entries that can be obtained, but 4 back to back entries at land border crossing may well lead to questioning by immigration as to what you are doing. If planning a short stay a tourist visa would give 60 day permission to stay on entry and can be extended for a further 30 days at Thai immigration (fee 1,900 baht).

Thanks 4 reply thaiphoon!

I already used my 3-entry-tourist-visum including extensions. I'm so to speak on the way back 2 Europe for "holidays from holidays" and a new visum but still it's too cold there now - and too expensive of course [..all around the year ;-).. ] !!

So i'll try 4 visa-waivers 'cause end of may the weather will be "more convenient".

My problem is a well known one: too young for retirement-visum, not working & not married (..and both i don't intend to, at least not because of visa-reasons..).

Investment-visum??! 10 mill BHT would be about all my current resources - anyway i wouldn't plunge an amount like that in LOS - or in any other country or region as a whole..!

Yes, i know there's a non-o for "visiting friends" but as i'm coming from Austria it won't be much of help as our Thai-embassy/consulates traditionally don't issue that kind of non-o, hel_l knows why...!?

Speaking of it folks: what are the latest news about - for example - some German Thai-consulates or UK-Hull issuing NON-O's FOR "VISITING FRIENDS" to EU-citizens (i.e. mailing in the documents..) ??

Thanxx & greets
