Hi All,

We are shortly to relocate to Thailand. Having lived with me here in the west since 2002, my wife has taken a keen interest in gardening.

To that end, she would like to bring "seed potatoes" with her to Thailand, to grow for our own personal use, pleasure, and interest. I know if anyone tried to bring a rooted vegetable into Ireland that customs would go nuts....... what would the story be with bringing potatoes in Thailand, does anyone know?

Many thanks in advance!

Well we have brought loads of different seeds, both ways, in the past. We have never had a problem doing so - but we have never declared them or been "caught" with them so I don't know if it is actually illegal or not to do so ...... but we've brought loads of seeds for flowers and different types of veg. for the inlaws, and we have brought back loads of types of seeds for salad veg and beans and that sort of thing to Ireland.
