Hi there,

I've just obtained a double entry tourist visa before leaving Australia (Brisbane consulate). Its the first time i've done so as i usually get the 30 days on arival inThailand and then amble my way to Laos from there.

Anyway, ive noticed that all the visas ive had in the past are marked with an "enter before" date, giving you the use of a possible six months from the date of entering the country,

however the wording in this one is "this visa must be utilized before SEP28"

Does this mean that the whole 2 entries and possible extensions all have to be used before SEP 28th??

OR is this just another way of saying the visa use must be started before SEP 28th??

Its just that i remember a poster in the past having a nasty shock when he went to get an extension that was denied because all travel had to be done by the visa date.

Makes it a bit tricky if you are arranging an outgoing flight..

Both entries must be used before Sept 28th.

You can apply for the 30 days extension after this date.

Ok thanks LB, impecable as usual!!

So just to verify the plans..it is possible to use the first entry and extension, spend a little time in Cambodia, and enter Thailand any time before SEP28 to use the second entry and its extension?
