Silicon Contact Lenses

Featured Replies

I currently get my contact lenses mailed from the UK every 3 months which is not a problem but I can't help but think if I could source the same ones in Thailand I would probably pay significantly less. I wear Optix Night and Day monthly disposables. The key thing is they're 76% lotrafilcon A (silicone hydrogel). I haven't been able to track any down here in Chiang Mai but wondered if they were available anywhere else eg in BKK. Anyone ever come across them?

Are these the ones you leave in for the month without taking out?. If so, I have tried but failed to obtain anywhere and

I believe not imported. Plus prescriptions are another problem to obtain

How much do you pay in the uk?

Yes, they are designed to stay in but I choose to take them out at night and so have to buy expensive solutions too. I get an annual eye exam at a hospital and send the results to my optician in the UK (Specsavers) so that they can dispense the lenses. I pay £15 a month by direct debit.
