Koh Kret

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I would like to take my kids to Koh Kret Island tody. Is it safe to go there today? I just read about all the violence. I did not see anything in this area but I just want to make sure. Also with it being Songkran will there be anyone there? Will everything be open and what is the best time to go today? I know lots of questions... any info would be great..

Thanks

Any Any info... I would like to go out there at 10am..

thanks

with all the water playing in bangkok, it's not the best to be. Get your kids somewhere in the countryside, the further from the town the safer

haha we called the chao phraya speedboat trip to koh kret but they said it wasn't running

I do not know why there are so many mean snotty comments on this sight lately... I am sorry to tell you that we had no problem taking a boat over to the Island. My kids had a great time..

You will be perfectly all right on Koh Kret, no red-shirt protestors there.

Much of Bangkok is closed regardless whether there are protestors or not. Major shops, however, are usually open. The major shopping malls in the Rajaprasong area though are closed because of the protestors.

In terms of traffic, Bangkok is great as there is hardly any vehicles on the streets.
