Thermometer.

Featured Replies

I've looked all over BigC, Tescos, electrical shops, HomePro etc etc searching for a thermometer. (External use, not medical :) ) I would like to know just how hot "bl##dy hot" actually is. :D

Any suggestions?

Many thanks. :D

you should look at those street vendors where they sell flash light, lighter, digital wall watches, etc. shouldnt be more than 100 bahts.

it's around 42 degree under the shade and around 45-46 under direct sun.

humidity is around 25%.

here in Ubon, I've seen thermometers (C') sold at small watch store concessions, hardware stores and department stores leased space area for concessions.

The temperature in Ubon according to my thermometer+Hygrometer(device for humidity reading) for the past week was averaging 40'C or 104'F and the humidity at 65-70% during the day. It normally rains if the hygrometer exceeds over the 70% marker in which it did last week.

Look for a special kosamuii thermometer as the temperature now is 52C in the shade and 64C++ in the sun.

You will find them at both BigC and Tesco on the table stalls near the main shops. Only cheap. :)

My thermometer meter is on 34. :)

UPDATE (for anyone else wanting a thermometer!)

Well, I tried the stalls, but to be honest all they had were very small, expensive, and dubiously accurate pieces of plastic which said the temperature was somewhere between 25 and 30 degrees. :)

But in Tescos I found a car thermometer. It has a wire and a probe attachment which can be hung out the window and I now know both the internal and external temperatures! :D For 350 Baht.

One says hot, and the other says bl##dy hot! :D (To 1 decimal place.)

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Try Toyota? buy yourself a fortuner and you get a thermometer in the dash.

hope this helps

Thanks for the info ... but buying a whole new car for the free thermometer sounds a tad extreme. :)

And I found what I was looking for in Tescos. :D
