Thats a useful list, I mentioned a few in my own list. Lot of great films on there and a few I know I need to watch, glad to see they recognised City of Gods, probably one of the best films I've seen in a few years.

Trouble with Bangkok is I cannot get the same selction of movies that I could back in London, and even though my local DVD guy has a lot of the more obscure and foreign language ffilms it's still lacking.

The breakfast club is a great film and I believe on UBC this month. :o , I liked all those old school 80s films especially St Elmos Fire.

Dazed and Confused another underated film, got a lot of stars in it that made it big later.

I bought Se7en on original DVD the other day for 99 baht, its been a while since I first watched it and still an amazing film, usual suspects was good first couple of watches but not a great fan.

I agree to bkkmadness 101%... but i dont want any LOTR Vs Matrix/StarWars Flame war... lol.. I saw all the 3 parts together at a strech in DVD for a second time to see why I didnt liked that movie... I just love some vfx shots there.. but there was nothing new in that... story was very plain, no depth and not inspiring in anyways...It never made me think a little bit about anything from that movie other than why on earth all people are crazy abt LOTR...  I think kids pulled their parents to cinema'sa and make it a box office hit... Star Wars was original. I loved Tim Burtons Big Fish and Edwards Scissorhand than LOTR....lol..

Hold it Scamp, hold it...

In no particular order, and probably missing a tonne of others:

Goodfellas (how the ... am I funny to you?)

Gladiator

Godfather II

Get Shorty (look at me)

Boogie Nights (with his ka-ra-te)

The Shawshank Redemption

Se7en

Anything by Pixar, with the Incredibles at #1

Fight Club

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

I've also got the complete Cracker series and sometimes stick an episode of that on to pass an evening away - great stuff...

lol
