I was wondering where the best place in Patong Beach area to get your money exchanged.

All the main banks have money exchange booths scattered about Patong. You should find one within a stones throw of where you are staying. All offer much the same exchange rate and no bank charges added ono the rate displayed. Rates clearly displayed, so if you want to walk about and check, on you go ... :)

The basement at jungceylon, there is 3 banks there all together, 2 have exchange rates outside and SCB you can read from the door.

Bangkok Bank seems to always have the best foreign exchange rates.....
