An American friend came down with that 3-4 years ago, definitely not good according to him.

He went to the Vibhavadi Hospital and their neurology department. A lady doctor there worked with him to find a combination of medicines that really helped out with stabilizing the pains.

After about two years she shifted meds a bit, stopped one, the stopped the other, and he's evidently one of the lucky ones as he's not had a reinsurance. Of course, it could come back, but he's been free of it now for about a year.

Give them a try: http://www.vibhavadi.com/en/about.php
