Just wondering if its possible to get accommodation in Phuket for 7000 baht a month? Not looking for anything flash but private bathroom, tv and internet would be nice. I've had a hard time finding anything so far...

There are tons of small cheap places for like 3-4k/month but they wont have internet but you can just get the cdma aircard and you're good to go.

Huh I like rawai/nai harn but all the places I looked at were asking for 15,000+ a month so this interests me. Can you pm or post the number? Thanks everyone for the replies, I'm not looking to stay in Patong though.

555 Agreed, Bags. I suspect a wee tad too basic for my liking... (I'm actually aware of a supply of available one bedroom furnished apartments in Patong - aircon, separate lounge, bedroom, kitchenette - less than two years old, for B7000/month long term from the Thai owner [no agents involved]. They're tidy apartments but TINY. A friend has leased a few of them and the cheeky basket rents them out short term to his customers for B1000/night). I doubt I'll have any real trouble finding something for myself; just haven't done any serious looking yet - I've still got three weeks before I'm back.

We vacated a one bedroom villa/bungalow on 6 April on Yodsane 2 (that's one of the two roads off Chaofa West leading to Big Buddha, Chalong). Was one of six on the property - unsure if re-let I'm now in Sa Kaeo. Were paying 9000 month which included cable tv and internet, electric generally 5-600/mth. Fully furn incl bedding/towels/kitchen stuff, approx 3years old.

There were other small places in the area vacant for rent, recommend a Thai speaker to discuss with owners. I found this place by spending a few hours riding round looking for places with signs outside, then getting Thai friend to do the ringing.

Try Rawai condo's on Viset Rd just up from the beach have mates staying 5000/ month with cable and internet you pay power

about 700/ month depending on the deal you strike. The place is nearly empty so good deals can be had.
