petercallen Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Does anyone know where the Airasia shop is located in Patong i want to inquire about the direct flights to Bali they said they where going to start last year if and when they are going to start them.
LivinginKata Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Air Asia shop in Patong is on the beach road about 200m past the Bangla road end, left side, just before the Immigration office.
ALFREDO Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I know one AIRASIA box is also in BIg C upstairs where the food stalls are. (Retaurant) Yes look in The Internet, AIRASIA, TIGER AIRWAYS AND JETAIRWAYS, but no flghts HKT-Bali directly, as far as I know.
petercallen Posted May 17, 2010 Author Posted May 17, 2010 I called into Airasias shop and know as much now as i did before. They don't seem to know if or when the flights to Bali will start.
THAILIBAN Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 it will never start. they already terminated - as I have predicted - several services from Phuket, such as Medan, HCMC..... who wants to fly from Phuket to Bali ? almost nobody..... both are entirely tourist destinations, and flights between 2 tourist destinations that are even in different countries and very far away from each other will never fill 180 seats a day....

Well i disagree with you, when i had annual holidays i regularly went to two holiday destinations in different country's spending one week in each and know other people who did the same. A direct flight would encourage tourists to visit both destinations especially Australians as they can get a direct flight from all the Capital cities in Australia to Bali and it would make it worth while to visit Phuket as well, I also know people living in Phuket who would use the service.
