hate to burst bubbles, but Lamphun (city) is not in Chiang Mai. It is the capital of the province of same name, which you'll enter about 15 km south and east of the moats - so officially no curfew in lamphun if the provided list is correct.

duno about the Pattaya province, just a simple ? is Pattaya under curfew? cuz planning to go there early morning 2morrow.

FYI, Pattaya is in the province of Chonburi - and Chonburi (read: Pattaya) is under the curfew edict. The gov't is allowing new air arrivals a free pass to their destinations during the curfew hours. Have your passport and travel documents at hand. Be safe!

So when is a curfew not a curfew? Presumably on a friday night in Chiang Mai when a lot of bars ignored it and stayed open. Dooohhh....as Homer Simpson would say, the curfew was put on to PROTECT THAI PEOPLE.......and return the Country to sanity and normality.....for f.... sake, cant they observe one law for more than 24 hours??!! Stupid !!!

Curfew in CR Province (Wiang Pa Pao) being rather selectively strictly enforced. Loudspeaker trucks and Military Police patrol starting about 8PM warning people to be off the streets, then regular patrols starting at 9 PM. No idea if they go on all night. "selectively" meaning that farang are being cautioned and it is suggested they go home - Thai ARE being briefly detailed, I understand, and asked to present their ID cards, but that's all.
