Is Ubc Obtainable In Most Condos?

Recommended Posts

I'm contemplating a move to Pattaya / Jomtien in a few months and have been perusing tons of condos for rent on the internet. 90% that I have seen advertise that they have TV with "30 cable channels" or "60 cable channels." Very few mention satellite TV.

From my research on Thai Visa, the general consensus seems to be that the cable options in the Pattaya area suck bigtime. Is it possible to get UBC installed in most condos? How about View Talay for instance? Would they have to install a dish on the balcony or would they do it on the roof of the building?

Thanks for the help.

I don't think there is a problem installing a dish if one is not already there, but you have to check with owner.

There is no comparison between UBC and Sophon.Take a look at the websites and you will see.

UBC have a promotion right now

http://www.ubctv.com/promotion/eng/promotion.aspx

Sophon has 60 channels, most of them not watchable, even the movies they put on are poor quality pic and the sound track even worse.

If you want to see an English compare talk to the manager of the Rice Mill restaurant 5 times day for 20 minutes go ahead(repeated)

looks like the Beeb is about to be booted again.

Also no comparison in price! If you want to see sport go to a local bar, if you want to watch a new movie rent a DVD 40 baht. Other than those there's only the usual rubbish.
