Im looking at two options, the work visa and O visas. An expat told me the procedure for getting a work permit visa is; have the company make the necessary documents and take it to a consulate such as the one in Vientiane. Then they will give you a 3-month visa and a document which you take to the capital of the province that you work in. Then they will stamp a 1 year visa in your passport and just need to check into the nearest immigration where you work every 90 day. Does this sound about right?

Ive heard of several options for O visas. Someone told me theres a company on Caosan Rd. that makes O visas for 12,000 Bt. Has anyone heard of this? I heard the consulate in Australia will make one for a certain price. I head that if you have a certain amount of money in the bank then they will give you an O visa. I met a Lao guy who has a Thai wife who has someone make 1 year visas for him. He wouldnt tell me how much he pays probably because its a lot less than what they would want to charge a Westerner. Im guessing he pays around 5000 Bt per year. He does work but i think unofficially so it could be a work permit visa but he emphasized that the marriage certificate is what gets him the visas. What is the cheapest school for Thai language that can get you a ED visa? On the Non-Immigrant O page it mentions that one can get an O visa to receive medical treatment in Thailand. Does anyone know about this?

Someone told me they now only give out 4 tourist visas back-to-back. For the 5th trip one either goes back to their country or makes a different kind of visa. Is this correct? Also, does anyone know about health insurance in Thailand. Can foreigners get health insurance?

Just do a little reading here and I am sure most questions can be answered - as you have provided no background on your status/desires not much we can do except warn your any illegal visa/permission to stay will be your legal problem if found out.

As someone has already pointed out you have "heard" a lot of things! Avoid all, and I mean all, of those firms who will make a visa for you. If it isn't a legal visa you will (not may) have problems eventually. Only embassies and consulates can issue visas.

What nationality are you? What age? Are you financially indepentdant?

Your last question is easy! Plenty of choice with health insurance.
