Fishing In Chiang Mai.

Featured Replies

I have recently moved into CM from Pai and am keen to meet someone who would like to go fishing with me.

I had a good mate in Pai and we used to go fishing two or three times a week, Ron was a much better angler tha me but I did get the odd plaa dook.

We live in Chiangmai gardenland and would be delighted to meet someone close by!

Hello Colin. And to think we've being meaning to get up to Pai soon and try some fishing there.

What kind of fishing do you enjoy? Pay ponds, rivers, or lakes? Hopefully we have some nice fish pictures from our 3am fishing excursion tomorrow.

Cheers

is it fly fishing that either you two do?

Mostly flyfishing, this morning was very slow and I only caught two on the fly. For Giant Snakehead I used mostly top water casted gear, not that I'm an expert by any means; still haven't caught a big one yet, only babies. Still learning!

You might like to check out the fishing sub-forum under the Sport Forum banner. Keep us informed of the "big" ones you get.

Does anyone want to go fishing soon? I don't have any equipment or know where to start but there is supposed to be some good fishing in CM right? I'm a normal 25 yr old dude.
