Hi ,

I have got some question. can anyone please help me to sort this things out.

I have been staying in Thailand for over 5+ years now with a Non-Imm visa . i finished my bachelor degree under a Thai-American university, its a dual degree. and now about to finish my master degree as well and planning to get married with my GF within a month or so. for the education and living purpose i already have invested over 3 million baht. my question is that, now i want to apply for an Thai PR, whether i will be eligible for it? if so, which category it should be? expert as in the academic criteria? what would be the other possibilities for me to apply for an PR ? any help or suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks :)

You have been here on one year extensions of stay? Only they allow application for PR.

I don't believe you are an expert at anything without experience in the field and so far you have only mentioned education and that within Thailand.

Unless your investment was at one time and under they old rules it does not mean anything.

Your marriage, if to a Thai, will give you a good reason to want PR.

There is an active thread on PR that you might want to read to participate in - the pinned first item at the top of page.

Thank you for the quick reply. however, i have been here one year extensions every year until now. so as u mentioned if i am married to my gf which we have already planned, it will add extra advantage to want PR. actually i posted the mentioned thread but didn't get any reply on that.

Thanks :)

Then you should also be aware that PR process seems to have been in limbo for the last three years. It may be a slow process but if you plan on stay here likely will be worth it in the end. There is also one or two active threads now on PR/Citizenship that you might also want to read.
