davejonesbkk Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 This is just for fun so please don't get too serious! I personally would like to see Capello go as he is just too arrogant and stubborn. Yes the players were at fault too and are basically a bunch of over-paid whingers but Capello made some ridiculous selections and also hasn't really experimented with new formations over the last 2 years. I have only chosen English managers for this poll as I think the days of brining in superstar foreign mangers on high wages are over as they havent gotten us further than 1/4 finals...
davejonesbkk Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 I've gone for Stuart Pearce, he has a wealth of experience with the young players that we need to bring in asap.

CNF55 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 steve mcmahon. he knows everything about football. and Shebby Singh to become his assistant?
H2oDunc Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Gazza, At least when they lost he would throw a good p@ss up A bunch of overpaid, overindulged prima donnas that were only concerned about their image rights than playing their hearts out for their country.
StevieH Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 steve mcmahon. he knows everything about football. and Shebby Singh to become his assistant? the tabloids wouldn't like shebby. them foreigners don't understand our culture and our game like innit.
smokie36 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Typical ridiculous suggestions above.......Its obvious.......Graeme Souness.
samuibeachcomber Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Typical ridiculous suggestions above.......Its obvious.......Graeme Souness. ok,how about alan hansen, actually having a scot to manage the england team would be the same as capello...............language barrier
suiging Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Jesus......we need a miracle Nah, He'd go missing at the end of the season and only show again at Easter.....................
mrtoad Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 steve mcmahon. he knows everything about football. Thanks for that Stevie, I just spat mt tea out. I had a chuckle though, when SWP came on I remember McMahon at a football dinner a month ago saying "He's fuc_king useless". well that was certainly one of his more astute statements. As for who they bring in, I think Borat and Mike Basset are probably better options than Stuart Pearce Roy Hodgson would be a good selection, but maybe there will be a surprise and we end up with Goddle again, or McClown comes back for a second spell. I'm sure Sven would also be up for another pay day. Let's see the useless cretins at FA , Oh sorry Club England bulls it up again.
Moonrakers Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 On a serious note..... Hoddle or El Tel. How silly of me, they actually did quite well last time. Oh, and they got the sack afterwards.
LaoPo Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 GUUS HIDDINK............ but the Turks were more clever and hired him for the national team after he left the Russian team, but maybe GBP 10M would do the job? LaoPo
tigerfish Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 how about peter withe, peter reid or bryan robson. after all they should be used to receiving vast amounts of money to manage a bunch of useless so called footballers.
ThaiAdventure Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I'd just be happy with an Englishman as manager regardless who it was. After all, it is supposed to be the "England" team.
craigm16 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Stuart Pearce for me , Has the passion that we lack at the moment and he knows all the current squad and the under 21s very well.
carmine Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 GUUS HIDDINK............ but the Turks were more clever and hired him for the national team after he left the Russian team, but maybe GBP 10M would do the job? LaoPo Hiddinks no fool. He'd look at the depth of talent he'd have to work with and run like the wind
