The story in Australia media is that he was teaching the 4 sisters English. UMM a 90 yr old teacing english I do not believe. I do not believe any of this story apart from he may have had some pics. I think it would take a lot of viagra and a lot of assistance with others for a 90 yrs old to rape. Also they say Australian he was german with dual citizenship and had been living in Thailand for 40 yrs.
90 ? And still...? Could be a setup or maybe it happened ? Did he pay the parents ? Did they know ? Did they allow ?
It's up to the judge now. In jail ? Not likely. Take his money to compensate the children ? Than send him back to Down Under ?

Why does this only happen in Thailand; or does this happen more than we know...?

Australia would not want any alledged rapist. Send him back to Berlin.

And they found porn at the house. Is it related to the girls or the case or just porn? A copy of playboy mag - that would be both porn and illegal in Thailand, but would mean nothing with reguard to this case.

I wish Thai reporters would flip a switch and make active their minds and ask a few ?.

That line reminds me of all the drug busts in the states where weapons are found at the home, often it just means an old non-functional shot gun that has not been used in 20 years, kind of like this old guy maybe - but hay - it sounds good in the report.

Yikes...another of these "two years later" cases....

So once again, where were the Thai parents during all that time??? And why only coming forward now?

IF (in capital letters) the guy was doing what he's been accused of, it's hard to imagine any parents not gaining any clue of what was happening with four different young daughters over a two year period.

so true why is it always with young girls and farangs in thier 80's and 90's that this comes forward? What about the real offenders in thier 20's to 60's maybe they still have thier wits about them them and are not easy prey for parents looking for a baht or two.

saw a picture of him in the newspaper,he needed 2 walking sticks to get around.hard to believe he had the energy to do anything else but try too walk.you could knock him down with a feather

Fast forward to reality. He walks with one cane and seems quite mobile and capable enough to commit the crimes with which he has been charged with:

My great-grandfather lived to be 97 and I can assure you : he drove around on his bicycle untill the age of 93 ... In the mornings he went for a 3 mile walk to the park and back. So, there's not realy telling here if the aged man in this particular case is or is not still capable of doing these things he's accused of.

:jap:

this is absurd. i think this is fabricated story.

is it even possible to assault somebody physically at his age? does he even has the desire?

Unfortunately the present judicial process does not really give the chance to the people wrongfully charged with a crime to prove themselves innocent. Thai police is mostly listening to victims with little or none evidence in most of the case. I'm surprise that other expat do not understand( or do not want to) that most of this farang are victims of conspiracy and will not get a fair trial. a problem that should worry all of us.

The man will get a fair chance to defend himself in court.

Ok without judging what he did or not.

Come on, since when a farang can get a fair chance in a thai court against a Thai ?

Always in juvenile court. Better than in many western countries even. Not as good in civil law cases, but the "unfortunate flexibility" there applies to both Thais and westerners

A farang cannot get a fair chance in thai court against a thai. that is unfortunately a fact

Unfortunate fact in discussions around bar stools, not in real life. Juvenile law is less biased against father and foreigners in Thailand than in most western countries. Civil law is must be admitted "more flexible" and connnections, social status and possibly money can sometimes play a fact. It does not only apply to westerners and that westerners cannot get a fair trial because they are westerners is a total myth

I do not go talking around bar stools, for your information we are talking about criminal court, not civil or juvenile. in this case the poor old man will most likely be charged with circumstantial evidence collect by police, prosecutor will just believe police and judge will probably listen to prosecutor. In the mean time the farang will probably suffer his remaining days in humiliation and die before he can prove his innocence. overall this will be just another news of unlikely criminal case made to frame farang in thailand

Maybe he was just acting - pretending to be feeble and frail... who knows?

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I always lived by this when I read a media report such as this. A 90 year old guy !!!! Give me a break. How many of you TV guys are innocent of looking at photos of underage girls on line? How many of you could survive a police

inspection of your hard drive ?

The above is one of the most disturbing posts I've witnessed on this forum (poster's name removed). That anyone would assume it's normal for anyone to possess such things turns the stomach of anyone with kids, or even just a sense of decency.

I've removed the poster from this forum, permanently, and this topic is closed.
