United States of Tara is brilliant, I like it.

Strange enough, lately I am into torturing myself by watching Reality TV shows , I don't know what is happening to me,:( watching all the rubbish on E! channel , and The Style network, like:

Keeping up with the Kardishians .

The Jerseylicious

Mel B.: It's a Scary World

Giuliana & Bill

I hate em, but I keep watching them, is it middle age crazy? !

Here is an oldie but goodie that American baby boomers will probably like if you missed it the first time.

Freaks and Geeks.

Someone already mentioned Breaking Bad. Absolutely fantastic! Try it. You will be hooked and the good news is that there is at least one more new season coming.

Here's another funny short UK series -- An Idiot Abroad, for Ricky Gervais/Karl Pilkington fans.

Most of my downloading is from BBC iPlayer Radio 7, they have repeats of lots of old radio 4 stuff like radio versions of Steptoe and Son, Yes Minister and Dad's Army and lots of classic serials and Books of the Week. You don't have to be in the UK to stream BBC radio content.

TV wise it's almost all TV panel quizzes, HIGNFY, QI, University Challenge and Buzzcocks (now they've got rid of the curly-haired moron). I watch almost nothing BBC drama-wise. The remake of Reggie Perrin is bloody awful and I am currently downloading the three original series to act as an antidote. Series like the Tudors and Rome seem to have passed into BBC history. Horizon and science docos turn up occasionally. I can't watch Discovery Channel stuff, it's clearly aimed at 5-year-olds.

Formula One races are downloadable after a delay: The challenge there is avoiding all news sites that might reveal the result before I can watch the race.

Nothing worthwhile has appeared on ITV/Channel4 since Morse died.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand was a good series, but with the star undergoing cancer treatment it looks like series two is at best going to be delayed.

US: I used to stream through Hulu, but now I use fastpasstv.com to download US series with Obit Downloader and VLC to watch the resulting FLV files:

The Simpsons/American Dad/Family Guy/Futurama

Two and a Half Men/Stargate Universe/House/Spartacus.

The Daily Show is the only show I stream from the broadcaster.

I'm getting a true subscription soon, can anyone tell me which, if any channels have the likes of:

The Simpsons

South Park

My Name Is Earl

Scrubs etc?

Cheers!

I've been watching "The only way is Essex". It's filmed as if it's real life, but some of it's scripted apparently.

Watch it and find out why there are so many "Essex Girl" jokes.

You can stream South Park at Comedy Central website (and other good shows too).

Guilty pleasure because it ain't exactly highbrow, but I am liking OUTSOURCED. It is really quite cheesy, or should I say paneery?

Thanks to those who suggested 'Breaking Bad' - what a great show, best drama I've seen for a long time.

For those who don't know, it's about a high school chemistry teacher who discovers he has lung cancer and only a couple of years to live. He needs to pay for treatment and wants to provide for his family after his death and stumbles upon a way of making a lot of money - by cooking crystal meth.

I would also second 'Hung' - guy realizes his best asset is that he has a big dick and goes into a business as a male escort.

A reasonable comedy I'm watching at the moment is 'Modern Family' - similar to Arrested Development.

We liked these shows also. You might also try Weeds. Strange at times, but pretty good.

I have enjoyed all of these other than Modern Family. Will give it a try!

AMC has renewed Breaking Bad for a fourth, and possibly final, season. The bad news; season premieres in July 2011. There may be some webisodes in the meantime, but note that the previous webisodes were quite lame, IMO.

We just finished Rome. Great series...too bad it only lasted 2 seasons.

We also loved Burn Notice. It started off a bit slow, but we got hooked after a few episodes....

new one out now, The Waking Dead. Lead star is English, Andrew Lincoln (this life, teachers) but plays an american sheriff in a wolrd taken over by zombies. Really good.

Misfits is another UK product, causing a lot of noise & winning awards.

I reaaly enjoyed it.

Right now, three of my favorite TV actors are Brits playing Americans with flawless accents.

Justified, Season 2 is currently showing now, up to S02E05. Timothy Olyphant and Elmore Leonard make a great combo.

Archer is pretty amusing, an adult animated spy spoof.

Breaking Bad Season 4 premiers ~ July 11, 2011.

House Season 7 (current) has been, well, different.

Still enjoying Glee, The Good Wife, 30 Rock (now part of the KableTown 'family'), Mentalist, White Collar, Hawaii Five-O.

Sampled Fairly Legal, The Defenders, Raising Hope, Chicago Code, Outsourced.

Breaking Bad had its Season 4 premiere on AMC last night.

There was a new batch of 4 eps. of Luther on BBC recently. Brilliant show.

"Injustice", on iTV was good.

There were also six episodes of "Case Histories" on BBC starring Jason Isaacs ("Lucious Malfoy" in the Harry Potter films, to be seen on the NBC fall show, "Awake") based on the excellent Kate Atkinson novel.

"Burn Notice" is back, as is "White Collar", "Memphis Beat" and "Covert Affairs". "Suits" is interesting. "Rescue Me" is in its final season leading up to the 10th anniversary of 9/11. "Treme" wrapped up a great Season 2. "Wilfred" is cute (based on an Australian show). "Game of Thrones" was quite good (HBO).
